Hundreds of warm Honey Bunnies (crafted from Honey Whole Wheat dough) will be featured at the Folsom Great Harvest bakery, 850 E. Bidwell St, in preparation for Easter.

They’re
perfect for Easter table centerpieces, for gifts and to nestle into children’s Easter baskets.

The kneaders and bakers of Great Harvest create the bread bunnies using five simple ingredients – freshly ground whole wheat flour, honey, yeast, water, and salt. Local bakery owners Dan and Jayme Richards plan to donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of Honey Bunnies to the Friends of Folsom Zoo Sanctuary, which has provided a safe haven for rescued animals since 1963.

According to Dan Richards, no two bunnies are quite the same. The artisans at Great Harvest handcraft each bunny. Like all Great Harvest products, these bunnies are so fresh there’s no need for additives, preservatives or dough.

“This is an exciting Great Harvest product that we know our customers will just love,” says Jayme. “We know that the expressions on children’s faces and the creativity of our customers will be something to look forward to as Honey Bunnies make great table centerpieces, veggie dip bowls, or in Easter baskets. To us, this product signifies spring and fun family gatherings.”
through April 4 by special order.

Customers are encouraged to pre-order any time by calling the bakery at 916-984-1830.

The Folsom Great Harvest bakery is open between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  For more information, please visit www.GreatHarvestFolsomCA.com or www.FolsomZooFriends.org.
