Roseville Utility Exploration Center November Events

It is the mission of the Roseville Utility Exploration Center to promote a healthy environment by encouraging individual actions for a sustainable future. 

Created out of the City's belief that sustainability is a principle to live by, the Exploration Center is a one-of-a-kind environmental learning center focused on bringing visitors information on protecting natural resources in a fun, engaging way. 

Here are some exciting events coming up at the Exploration Center in November:

Fabulous Thrift Tour

9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Saturday, November 8, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Do you enjoy bargain hunting? Grab your friends and join them for a tour of area thrift stores led by local fashion blogger Phoebe Verkouw, aka the Dress Fiend. Get help designing new outfits on a budget while doing your part to reduce waste and shop local. Ages 16 and up. $35 Roseville residents, $40 non-residents. Gardening Workshops: Winter Beauty for Your Garden

8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, November 8, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Gardening workshops at the Utility Exploration Center will focus on getting your irrigation system ready and keeping your garden colorful in the winter. Join them for two classes: Beginning Composting (8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) and Color and Water for the Winter Garden (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.). Each class $6 Roseville residents, $8 non-residents. Holiday Closure

The Roseville Utility Exploration Center will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veteran’s Day. Normal hours of 10.a.m – 5 p.m. will resume on Wednesday, November 12. For more information call 916-746-1550.

Free Preschool Program

10 a.m. – noon, Thursday, November 13, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Inspire your child to be a future Planet Protector! Drop in for free hands-on crafts, fun and discovery. Created specifically with preschoolers in mind, this program offers engaging and age appropriate activities introducing ways to care for our environment. Homeschool Program: Waste Reduction

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Holiday Closure

The Roseville Utility Exploration Center will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Normal hours of 10.a.m – 5 p.m. will resume on Saturday, November 29. For more information call 916-746-1550.
