Fundraiser for Kinkaid Family October 20 at Folsom Tap House

Oct 17, 2014 05:26PM ● By Brenna Mc Gowan
The Kinkaid family is a young family living in Folsom. The family recently lost Jason Kinkaid to a tough battle with both Leukemia and Lymphoma after a long fight.

Michelle Kinkaid is now raising their two beautiful children without her partner and best friend. Jason was one of a kind. He had quite the handsome smile, the best sense of humor and enormous love of his family and friends. It has been a tremendous loss to those around him—especially his family. In addition, Jason was the sole provider for his family.

Family, friends and neighbors are now rallying around Michelle and her children to help them in the difficult time ahead. They have organized plans for the Kinkaid Family Fundraiser. On Monday night, October 20, a fundraiser will be held at the Folsom Tap House, 25005 Blue Ravine Road, Suite 140, in the Raley's shopping center.

The event includes food and drinks for purchase, music, raffle prizes and a silent auction featuring more than 80 items on which guests can bid (ranging from local spa treatments and gym memberships to wine tours, limo trips and vacation getaways). All money raised goes toward covering medical and funeral expenses and living costs for the family.

Kate Shelton, event coordinator and close Kinkaid family friend, said more than 130 guests have confirmed their attendance as of Wednesday, but she expects many more residents to show. Shelton says the Kinkaid Fundraiser group would not have been to pull the benefit together without the aid of numerous volunteers and businesses, including the Folsom Tap House.

The Tap House will be donating a portion of each "Kinkaid Fundraiser" customer bill all day on Monday, October 20, to the family (please tell them you are there for the fundraiser).

Please support the Kinkaid family as they remember Jason. He was a Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend. Lets pack the Tap House! If you can't make the event, please visit www.youcaring.com/kinkaidfamily to donate.
