Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Absolute Archery is a family-owned archery pro shop. The owner (also my husband), Darin Mack, has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including competitions and big game hunting. Absolute Archery is continuing to grow and expand inventory as the company’s one-year anniversary approaches. 

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

We were married at the young age of 19, after our son was born. Over the next decade, I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees while Darin advanced his archery career through competitions, coaching and sponsorships. We have two great kids and are blessed to have a loving, successful marriage and new business.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I go to the gym and Darin goes outdoors. His favorite vacation spot is in the middle of the Bush in remote Alaska.

What’s your hidden talent?

People skills. As well, Darin has become successful in the archery field by utilizing his relationships with various archery professionals. Furthermore, his technical skills provide a solid foundation to assist customers throughout all areas of archery.  

What’s your biggest job perk?

Flexibility and freedom.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Sky Sushi, Chicago Fire and Pearl Asian Cuisine. 

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We enjoy bowling, dining out and being outdoors.
