Book Signing at Face in a Book July 25

Jun 26, 2014 06:59AM ● By Brenna Mc Gowan
Susan Spann, author of Blade of the Samurai, comes to Face in a Book Friday, July 25th, at 6:30 p.m.

Master Ninja Hiro is awakened one night by a man begging for help and proclaiming his innocence – even though his dagger has been found near a murder victim.  An investigation reveals a plot to assassinate the Shogun and overthrow the ruling clan, and Hiro and Jesuit priest Father Mateo must produce the killer…among many suspects.

A thrilling and unforgettable mystery set in sixteenth-century Japan, Blade of the Samurai is Book Two in Susan Spann’s Shinobi Mysteries series.

Book One, Claws of the Cat, was a smashing, well-written debut that offered a fascinating glimpse into a little-known era in Japanese history wrapped in a most intriguing whodunit.  “One can only hope this Northern California author brings Hiro back in another adventure,” said the San Jose Mercury News – and now she has!

Susan Spann is an attorney and former law professor with a deep interest in Asian culture. She is a student of Mandarin and Japanese, Asian cooking, knife and shuriken throwing, traditional archery, and martial arts.  Susan lives in northern California with her family.
