Tell us about yourself.
I can summarize myself in three words: passionate, driven and giving.
What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?
My family first attended Relay for Life in September of 2007. Our purpose of attending was to support and give back to one of the many organizations that supported our family during my cancer journey. This year I achieved one of my greatest accomplishments: I organized my own team and we were the top fund-raiser at the relay. I personally raised $2,500 in donations.
What are your school interests, involvements and hobbies?
I am one of the editor-in-chiefs of the Rocklin High School yearbook. I’m extremely proud of everything the staff and I have accomplished and I can’t wait to hold the published book in my hands. I have also been on the board of directors at Thunder Galleria, which is a Christmas charity function for disadvantaged youth living within our community.
What’s one thing that not many people know about you?
I’m a six-year cancer survivor. Going through this battle at the age of 10 shaped me to be the person who I am today.
Who is your role model?
My mom—I admire the selfless actions that she performs every day for our family.
Describe your career aspirations.
My journey to this point in my life has led to my career goal of opening a non-profit organization with a mission centered upon world health. I want to make a mark on the human population and help change lives for the better.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
I hope to travel to Italy to experience the cultural differences and to eat delicious food.
