Tell us about yourself.

I can best describe myself as a politically-minded entrepreneur-reporter. I’m most passionate about news and politics. The former is obvious just by finding out what I spend most of my time in life doing. Both in school and out, I’m always reporting, reading or editing news. I write for a local television station, and I’m the editor-in-chief of the Roseville High School journalism program. Between those two things, it’s hard not to find myself knee-deep in news. While my political views have evolved over the past six years, my passion has only grown. It’s one of the biggest reasons I limited my college search to schools mostly in Washington, D.C. With that said, I also have a very entrepreneurial mindset, preferring to start new things rather than be a part of old ones.   

What are your school interests, involvements and hobbies?

I’m the editor-in-chief of the RHS Journalism program and news director of TigerCast News, Roseville’s newscast. I also help produce videos for Student Government that are used in rallies and other events. I work for FOX40 News as a writer and teen beat reporter, covering stories related to teens and education. I’m extremely into politics, constantly watching for the latest polls and following stories that could impact the next election.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will attend George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and major in political communications. While going to school, I hope to intern or work at a television station or network to build upon the experience I have. I’d also like to work on a political campaign or on Capitol Hill as a staffer to determine whether or not I see my future in politics.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

I’d love to travel to Jerusalem. I’ve always been fascinated by Israel—both for its current conflict and its huge historical significance in the world.
