Roseville High School

Tell us about yourself.

I have a passion for golf! I love learning new things and am not afraid to challenge myself when it comes to education. I have learned that by simply believing in myself I can achieve anything. “Giving up” is not part of my vocabulary; I persevere through whatever comes my way, because at the end it is my life and I can control my future.

What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

I’m really proud of exceeding all of the goals I set for myself throughout high school. I wanted to qualify to play in the High School Girls State Championship for golf and not only did I make it, but placed in the top 10. I also wanted to qualify for the Nature Valley First Tee Open, which is on the Champions Tour and played at Pebble Beach and Del Monte Golf Courses, and I not only got to play in it, but also placed in the top 10 again. I met another major goal by earning an athletic scholarship to a division one school, University of California, Davis, where the education and golf are ranked in the top 30 in the country.

What are your school interests, involvements and hobbies?

I have been the golf captain on the girl’s golf team the past few years. I’m also an active member of A.V.I.D. and was even one of the club’s founders. This program helps students to become standout applicants for colleges and jobs, while preparing and teaching them critical techniques to be successful students and employees.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

I would love to travel to Australia to spend time on their lively beaches! To have an encounter in the ocean snorkeling with exotic fish and maybe even sharks would be pretty incredible. I would love to see kangaroos and koala bears up close; oh, and not to mention, it would be a joy to be greeted with an authentic “G’day mate!”
