Granite Bay High School

Tell us about yourself.

I’m a senior at Granite Bay High School and am the varsity cheer captain, was student body vice president, and am very involved at my high school with Student Government. I’m a host on an internationally televised TV show called Eco-Company TV. I love my job, hanging out with friends and being with my family.

What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

Probably my Student Television Network (STN) Award for the National Live Reporting Competition that was held last year in Los Angeles; the award helped solidify my career choice in the broadcasting field, and it was wonderful to make my media class proud.

What are your school interests, involvements and hobbies?

I’ve been involved in the Drama, Media, Student Government and Cheer programs. I’ve cheered and been in Student Government all four years. I really enjoy serving my school and being involved. I was also a Girl Scout for 12 years and earned my Gold Award.

What’s one thing that not many people know about you?

Many people may not know that I really enjoy quiet time by myself. I’m always busy and being social, but sometimes I love to just be alone at home to think and recharge.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will attend California State University, Fullerton, in the fall and major in radio/TV/film with an emphasis in broadcasting.

Who is your role model?

Giuliana Rancic! She has the career I want, and I admire how strong she is and how much she has accomplished.

Describe your career aspirations.

I want to be an entertainment reporter, and eventually a television producer.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Probably Turkey and the Middle East; my parents lived and worked there for many years and I’ve heard some great stories.
