Lukas Novak

Folsom High School

Tell us about yourself.
I love to learn, live while learning, and laugh while living.

What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?
Surviving—without that, I’d be dead anyways.

What are your school interests, involvements and hobbies?
Philosophy and Debate Club, Academic Decathlon, Hip-Hop Dance Club, Science Club and Mathletes.

What’s one thing that not many people know about you?
I have a passion for poetry.

What are your plans after graduation?
Attend Princeton University, and absorb/synthesize/analyze/write as much as humanly possible.

Who is your role model?
Ralph Waldo Emerson—the man was generous, worked, wrote and loved. What else is there?

Describe your career aspirations.
Ambiguous at best. I love to speak, and perhaps will pursue a professional venue that would combine mathematics, the physical and social sciences, and public policy reform. But who knows?

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Right where I am, because no matter where I am, I’m there! Besides, contentment is conducive to peace, right?
