Sierra Wildlife Rescue will hold training classes for prospective rehabbers in the care of fawns, raccoons, foxes, coyotes, bobcats and opossums. Imagination Theatre will hold a “How to Audition” Workshop on April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon for adults and children ages 9 and up. Topics will include auditioning skills, stage etiquette and preparing songs. For more info, visit imaginationtheater.net.

Fat Kitty City, a nonprofit cat sanctuary in El Dorado Hills, is hosting a Cat Food Drive throughout the entire month of April. Drop your donations off at the blue food bins in El Dorado Hills at Bark Avenue, Market Place Veterinary, the El Dorado Hills Branch Library and Pak Mail; and in Shingle Springs at Lees’ Feed & Western Store. Oak Ridge High School’s Interact Club will host their Third Annual Rummage Sale to benefit the local charity Help Mito Kids on April 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the upper parking lot of Oak Ridge High School. Don’t miss this month’s El Dorado County Master Gardeners classes, including “Tomatoes: From Seed to Table” on April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Veterans Memorial Building in Placerville, and “Irrigation” on April 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Government Center Hearing Room in Placerville. On April 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, the Fifth Annual Spring Plant Sale—featuring heirloom tomatoes, perennials, trees, shrubs and more—will be held; admission is free.
