To honor children during the “Month of the Young Child” and Child Abuse Prevention Month, local organization Choices for Children will be hosting their 29th Annual Kids’ Expo on Saturday, April 12, at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families with children under 10 years of age will enjoy fun activities, demonstrations and performances. Multiple educational programs will be offered, too, including: hands-on science, art and sensory activities, as well as an obstacle course. Additionally, the Swan Brothers Circus, local dance studios and martial arts programs will be performing. What’s more, parents will learn about community resources from local businesses that cater to families and children. “The main goal of the event is to further our mission of putting families at the center of a community of support services,” explains Event Coordinator Rene Line. Due to generous community support, the Expo is free to all who attend. For more information, contact Rene Line at 530-676-0707 x.101 or [email protected].
