February at Harris Center means a lovely and large selection of entertainment.

From the 14 through the 23, check out El Dorado Musical Theatre’s Thoroughly Modern Millie, a play about a small-town girl that marries for money, instead of love. Set in 1922 New York, the musical is a modern tale of a time when women were just entering the workforce. After seeing this hit musical, take a singing or acting class at the award-winning El Dorado Musical Theatre.

Go back to your hillbilly roots for a rollicking night of fun on February 17, as Lonestar, one of country music’s most successful acts (according to billboard.com), takes the stage. Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Lonestar will perform some of their most popular songs, plus new tracks from Life as we Know It and other favorites. Before the show, pick up a new outfit at Sierra Western Wear or Lees’ Feed & Western Store.

Listen to the future of jazz, the Grace Kelly Quartet, on February 28. Kelly was named one of the “Top 10 College Women Musicians of 2011” by Glamour Magazine and has garnered accolades from jazz luminaries such as Harry Connick, Jr. and Phil Woods. After being wowed by this 21-year-old’s amazing concert, check out Nicholson’s MusiCafe to listen to local artists while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or a fine pastry.
