Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We run a boutique fitness center for 10- to 95-year-olds that’s open seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays. Members have full access to a fitness center using their own key. Gretchen was looking for a convenient, on-the-go fitness center and discovered Anytime Fitness in Midtown Sacramento.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Our customer base is our community, whether it’s a business, school or charity. Our children attend a local school, and our business sponsors multiple fundraisers and sports teams throughout the year.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We are the staff—everything we do is a reflection of our family and us, which directly resonates in the community. We know all of our members by name and personally respond to all inquiries.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Our marriage and children.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

To the gym!

What’s your hidden talent?

Informally, we have more than 44 years of experience between the two of us in fitness and exercise. We understand the fundamentals and have witnessed trends that have come and gone. We personally advocate the true basics of health and well-being that are based on consistency, attitude and effort.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Folsom Lake.

And finally, customer service is…?

Absolutely everything—knowing that your customers want to come back and that they, in turn, tell others good things about you and your business.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Megan Wiskus at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
