September means the start of fall with lots of new activities and fun for all!

On September 10, the monthly Coffee, Tea and Friends program will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. in the social room of the Community Center. The free event, sponsored by Visiting Angels, is held on the second Tuesday every month.
Bring unwanted junk from your garage, plus yard clippings, tree trimmings, E-waste and general recyclables to the free (donations accepted) Community Cleanup Day, held September 21 at the Camerado Springs Middle School parking lot from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Cameron Park Fire Explorers will be available to help unload items; Snowline Hospice and chipping services by the Fire Safe Council will also be onsite. Please no commercial waste, oil, batteries, tires, rocks, dirt/concrete, large appliances or hazardous waste. On the same day, at the Community Center parking lot, sell your treasures or hunt for new ones at a Swap Meet from 8 a.m. to noon.
The pool remains open for evening and weekend swims, but jump in before it’s too late! On Friday afternoons, FUNdamental volleyball—open to boys and girls in grades 4-8—will be conducted by the Gold Cal Volleyball program’s coaches at the Community Center gym. The youth basketball season is also starting and sign-ups are taking place now! Guitar, ukulele, Spanish, yoga, Zumba, ballroom dance and more classes are open for registration now.
Are your children struggling with math? If so, the Cameron Park CSD offers two different classes. Kids will have fun learning math concepts while also memorizing addition and subtraction facts; or, students can learn multiplication facts the fun, fast and easy way.
The Renaissance Tudor Fayre will take place at Cameron Park Lake on September 7-8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. For more information, visit facebook.com/renaissancetudorfayreincameronparklake. On September 13-14, don’t miss the Rubstock BBQ Championship at Christa McAuliffe Park. For more details, visit rubstock.com.
Looking for a place to hold an event or a holiday party? Check out the Community Center—it may be the perfect venue.
