Rosewood Insurance Solutions - Shingle Springs, CA

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
Rosewood Insurance Solutions is an insurance agency specializing in health insurance for families and individuals, businesses, and people on Medicare. I worked for a Fortune 21 insurance company my entire professional career, and as I worked my way up into management and gained a lot of experience, I became an expert in the field. When my husband and I had our baby girl last December, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to branch out and open my own agency. It’s been the best professional decision I’ve ever made and has been great for our family, too. I’m contracted with all of the major insurance carriers in California, so I have a huge portfolio of plans to offer my clients.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
My husband and I both share a passion for community service. We’ve lived in Shingle Springs since we were married in 2011 and have participated in multiple  community service projects, including picking up trash along the American River, and building rocking chairs and raised planters to donate to seniors in need. Since opening my business, I’ve joined Kiwanis of Placerville. I also volunteer my time doing educational presentations regarding Medicare and help Medicare beneficiaries qualify for financial assistance with their prescription drug costs.
And finally, customer service is…?
What makes me special. I know health insurance can be a tricky topic that is confusing and frustrating for most people. The rules are always changing, which can add to the confusion, especially when you consider the upcoming changes from the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). I make it a point to go above and beyond for my clients to ensure they always understand what their options are and make the process as easy as possible. Many insurance agents disappear after they get an enrollment, but I give everyone my cell phone number and always check in periodically to make sure they’re continuously satisfied with their health plan. I take pride in making sure my clients and referrals know they mean everything to my business.
