Maidu Museum and Historic Site

This Roseville museum offers a unique cultural haven for families and individuals who want to experience the life ways and culture of the Nisenan Maidu who called the location home for thousands of years. While the Museum presents interactive exhibits and displays, the outside trail wanders through the Historic Site and offers visitors a chance to see the lasting cultural landmarks via hundreds of bedrock mortar holes and deeply carved petroglyphs. 1970 Johnson Ranch Drive, Roseville. Placer County Courthouse Museum

This museum is home to the Pate Collection of Native American artifacts, located on the first floor of the Courthouse. 101 Maple Street, Auburn. For more information, call (530)889-6500

California State Indian Museum

The Downtown Sacramento Museum, which opened in 1940 and features cultural items, historic photographs and hands-on exhibits, is offering special events and programs every weekend in November in celebration of Native American History Month. 2618 K St.,

The Indigenous Native American Gathering

This is an on campus event held at Cosumnes River College November on the 13 - 15 to celebrate Native American Month. This small event is presented by native students and includes jewelry, clothes, vendors and indigenous dancers. The event is for Native and non-natives to learn, understand, appreciate and respect ones culture. The event also promotes education, wellness and health.
