October 12 marks the official birthday of the Carnegie Library, now a museum operated by the Roseville Historical Society.

To celebrate 100 years of service and programs in the local community, the Roseville Public Library will mark the occasion with a large party, photo displays and a new service for visitors of Old Town Roseville: a mobile walking tour.

Join the Roseville Library Centennial Celebration at Family Fun Day from noon to 4 p.m. on October 20 at the Downtown Library. This free event will feature fun for all ages, based on popular entertainment from 1912. Story times for kids and a pie walk for all ages are just some of the activities. Visit roseville.ca.us/library for more information.

Historical photos will be on display at the Civic Center and Downtown Library in October, and will be part of the Downtown Library’s 3rd Saturday display this month. Join the fun from 6 to 8 p.m. on October 20 at the Downtown Roseville Library.

The new Old Town Roseville walking tour, available online at roseville.ca.us/library/walking-tour/default.asp, will debut at the Historical Society Street Fair at 11 a.m. on October 13 – just outside the Carnegie Museum at 557 Lincoln Street.
