Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

My wife, Stephanie, and I developed our winery.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

Working on my uncle’s dairy farm. I learned farming is a lifestyle, not just a job.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We have an active wine club and participate in community events. In addition, I serve on the Placer County Agriculture Commission and we’re members of various trade associations.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We often hear we’re a fun place to visit, and customers love our service.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Planning, developing and establishing a successful winery business.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My uncle – he farmed his whole life and taught me the value of stewardship of the land.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Stephanie and I enjoy sailing and golfing.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Seeing customers truly enjoying our wine – the fruits of our labor.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

The Monkey Cat in Auburn – they have great food and a friendly staff.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Sailing on Scotts Flat Lake off Highway 20 and golfing at Auburn Valley Golf Club.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Working on my uncle’s farm – driving the tractor and working with the animals.

Providing award-winning wine in a fun, friendly atmosphere.
