A partner with the Van Cliburn Foundation, the Classical Masters Music Festival will feature an array of classical music masters and support young musicians with master workshops, various competitions and performances, June 9-10 at Three Stages at Folsom Lake College.
Who makes this magic happen? Two local young people – Granite Bay’s 16-year-old Austin Lee and Folsom’s 8-year-old Dominic Pang – have made huge contributions to our region’s ability to hear and enjoy classical music. Lee established the festival last year, which has now grown to be an annual event. Pang, one of last year’s winners and a piano prodigy, will take the stage once again. With three shows at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, Pang is a seasoned pianist and true crowd pleaser. The festival’s mission is to provide an outstanding venue to foster the growth and development of young classical musicians with opportunities to compete, learn from world-renowned masters, develop passion for music, and share their talents with the local community.
