The Folsom Aquatic Center celebrates its 12th season this summer with an expanded range of swim lessons, a free family movie night, and plenty of daily fun for everyone.
The Aquatic Center combines playground and water park elements with three sparkling blue pools, creating a unique recreational experience unlike any other in the region. Unlimited use of the three-story corkscrew waterslide, high and low diving boards, giant play structure, water spray features and overhead dunk buckets, plus access to all pools, are included in the price of admission. Rounding out the long list of amenities are a café, picnic areas, plenty of sun and shade for lounging, and locker room access.
The Beast, Kiwi, and Montee – the colorful, massive inflatable obstacle courses – are back this summer, rising high above the Center’s Olympic-sized pool to challenge the skills of kids, teens and the young at heart. A wristband purchased on-site provides unlimited use of the inflatable toys for an entire day.
Group and individual swim lessons are conducted by the Aquatic Center’s swim and safety staff every week throughout the summer and into the fall; an expanded range of lesson times, starting mid-morning and continuing through early evening, accommodates the high demand for lessons and enables participants to progress through multiple levels.
A special time is set aside Friday mornings from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. through August 3 for the Little Dippers program. During this time, the recreational pool with its beach-style entry is reserved exclusively for ages 6 and under, providing them the opportunity to increase their water confidence in a calmer environment.
Make sure to mark your calendar for the Center’s free family movie night on July 21. The doors open at 7 p.m. for open swim; the movie begins around 8:30 p.m. Bring a picnic, pitch a blanket, and enjoy a relaxing open-air theatre experience with friends and family!
The Aquatic Center is the ideal setting to host a summer birthday bash – a variety of party packages can accommodate large or small gatherings and include cake, pizza, beverages, a party patio, plus pool and waterslide use. The Aquatic Center is open daily from 1-6 p.m. Purchase a Family Season Pass for just $149 – that’s less than $2 a day for an entire summer of fun!
