"I’m bored!”

If this sounds familiar, it might be time to call the Placerville Recreation Department. With exciting youth sports camps for children of all ages and abilities, we are the ultimate summertime boredom buster!

The Placerville Recreation Department has partnered with the knowledgeable coaching staff at El Dorado High School and other professionals throughout the community. The result is many high-quality sports camps where participants have the advantage of training with local experts, learning basic skills for beginners, and advanced skills for more experienced athletes. Sports camps include girls’ and boys’ basketball, freshman football, junior Cougar football, soccer, and volleyball. All camps are held at local schools; early registration is advised, as these programs are in high-demand.

For participants who want to get out on the course, our golf camps are up to par. Have your heart set on tennis? Take a swing at tennis camp. For the less conventional athletes, consider the new junior bowling camp for ages 6-17.

Even your youngest competitors can get a jumpstart on their athletic careers. Mighty Mites sports camps cater to children 3-5 years old; these camps are offered throughout the year. We will also feature t-ball and soccer camps for youngsters.

And, if sports aren’t your thing, consider a chef’s camp where aspiring cooks get a taste of what it takes to run a kitchen; or there’s the Zumbatomics camp, where we combine dance, arts and crafts. Perhaps our visual arts camp will get those creative juices flowing again. Finally, a cure for your summertime blues!
