Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

It found us for sure! I had been teaching for a few years when a feeling kept coming over me to open another studio in Folsom; when Corey approached me saying he had the same idea, Leap Yoga was born. We are truly living the saying “follow your heart.”

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Corey and I have been teaching in Folsom for over two years and we’ve created some amazing relationships with people in the community. Yoga is our passion, and opening Leap has allowed us to share the magic of yoga with more people (we have kids’ classes, too!).

Why is your staff the best in the business?

At its core, yoga is about opening your heart and giving and receiving love. It may sound cheesy, but that is what makes us the best: we truly care about our students and it shows.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Cathy: Most recently, my greatest role model has been my friend Joanna – she is such a loving person and constantly shows me what it looks like to be living from that place.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Corey: My mat, the mountains, Folsom Lake (a few turns on my skis), or to the racetrack.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Cathy & Corey: Seeing people light up when the yoga sinks in.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Cathy & Corey: Mikuni Sushi and Bidwell Street Bistro.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Corey: Empire Ranch Golf Course.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

Cathy & Corey: The Folsom Rodeo.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

Cathy & Corey: Whole Foods Market.

And finally, customer service is…?

Being available to the customer and truly caring about them!
