Craving the flavors of Thailand, I decided to visit Khun Suda in Roseville.

My parents and I were instantly greeted by Suda, who took our drink orders – a Thai Iced Tea and Lemongrass Iced Tea. Both were sweet and refreshing!

I don’t eat meat, so Suda went over the menu and informed me that since everything is freshly made, almost all of the selections could be made vegetarian. We decided to start with the Fried Veggie Wontons, which were warm and crispy…perfect to enjoy while taking in the ambiance of the restaurant. The music playing in the background was soft enough to hold a conversation, giving the restaurant a relaxed vibe, and the tables featured handcrafted drawings of various food and drinks served there.

We decided to order the Sweet and Sour – which was filled with vegetables and tofu in a sweet and sour sauce – and the Basil Plate – made with an abundance of tofu and a few veggies in a garlic basil sauce. We devoured the two dishes, unable to stop raving about the burst of flavors in each. The portion sizes were generous; I was surprised that between the three of us we still had leftovers of both entrées (enough for my lunch the next day!).

As stuffed as we were, we couldn’t pass up dessert and settled on the Fried Ice Cream. The large scoop of vanilla ice cream – enveloped in fried bread – was enough for four people, but we quickly demolished it and craved even more. Khun Suda is definitely the right restaurant to visit for those who want a delicious taste of Thailand, right here in Roseville!
