Even though I’ll never pass up a slice, I’ve never been a cake connoisseur.

It takes a special recipe to impress my finicky taste buds – a recipe that Nothing Bundt Cakes has perfected. On my last visit, the employees were quick to acknowledge my presence and offer a “sample of the day” – Lemon. The citrus-flavored morsel was ultra-moist and had a refreshing zing that lingered on my palate. After admiring the store’s shabby chic décor and scoping out the charming gifts and baking accessories, I selected a Carrot “Bundtlet” (single serving). For those who can’t decide on a flavor (with options like White Chocolate Raspberry, Red Velvet, Pecan Praline and Chocolate Chocolate Chip, electing one is not an easy task) the bakery offers a “Bundtini” – a dozen bite-sized cakes in flavors of your choice. Also available are 8”, 10” and Tiered Cakes, plus a Bundtlet Tower. The whimsically packaged Carrot cake – strewn with pineapples, carrots, swirls of cinnamon and spicy nutmeg – was densely delicious and melt-in-my-mouth moist. A cream cheese frosting, artistically draped over the top, was literally the icing on the cake. Move aside cupcakes, there’s a new sweet treat in town that’s nothing bundt delicious!
