Rocklin Parks and Recreation

Mar 02, 2012 07:32AM ● By Style

Rocklin Parks and Recreation has an assortment of fun and interesting programs to offer area residents of all ages this month.

From March 9-25, Rocklin Community Theatre presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Described by the Washington Post as the “funniest thing in seven consonants” – this exciting musical (recommended for audience members ages 18 and older) whimsically illustrates talented nerds participating in the annual verb-o-mania spectacle. Performances will be at Rocklin’s Finnish Temperance Hall. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit rocklincommunitytheatre.com.

The Rocklin Parks and Recreation Department has moved from the Rocklin Event Center at 2650 Sunset Boulevard to the former library building at 5460 5th Street at Johnson-Springview Park. Stop by our new location to sign up for programs, pay fees, or just to say “Hello!” – the staff has been working hard to make the new space welcoming to all.

Registration is now open for “Spring Break Camp,” which will run from April 2-6 and 9 at Sunset Ranch and Rock Creek Kids Junction sites; the camp is open to newcomers and youth already enrolled in Kids Junction programs.
