Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Six years ago, I created Wagger’s Pet Spa & Market in Sacramento. Our store’s concept is to carry natural pet foods and treats, unique collars, leashes, clothing and supplies. We also strive to offer the very best pet grooming services a customer could receive. In the summer of 2011, I opened my second pet retail store in Folsom and named it WAGGER’S. I am committed to giving great customer service and offering a wide variety of products that our customers can rely on.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I support Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and the SPCA; in addition, I help customers who are looking for a dog or cat by suggesting they check out the local pet rescue groups and shelters.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Our staff is extremely knowledgeable about the needs of dogs and cats, and they excel at customer service. I am very proud of them, and it’s because of their help that we get nominated for “Best Pet Supplies” on KCRA’s A-List every year.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Getting to bring my two golden retrievers, Kylie and Jolie, to work with me.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Land Ocean – the food and service are both great!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We enjoy shopping at the Folsom Outlets.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Madonna – I grew up on her music and respect her as a businesswoman.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

The holiday arts and crafts fair in Historic Folsom.

Recognizing the wants and needs of the customers, and having a willingness to deliver on them!
