Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I have always loved to bargain shop, and with the economy right now, bargain shops are the best way to get fashion at a fraction of the price. It found me. I was a legal secretary for approximately 15 years and after I turned 50, I needed a change to reinvent myself.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Through Facebook, the local chamber of commerce, and the Downtown Roseville Merchants Association.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff consists of me and me alone. I am the best because I make everyone feel like they are at home and want to come back; however, I’m hoping to get some staff in the future.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My work ethic, which I learned from my parents. I also have a great sense of design.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

If I’m in the right state of mind, I will head to the gym; otherwise, I will try and get lost in a movie or book.

What’s your hidden talent?

Decorating – I love it!

What’s your biggest job perk?

Working for me is a whole different world. There is freedom in being your own boss, but the responsibility and workload are daunting.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

This may sound funny, but one of my favorite places to go locally (and it’s free!) is the dog park. There’s no stress and it’s a joy watching all of the dogs play and interact with each other.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

Roseville’s Downtown Tuesday Nights. I work in the store and love all the people who come by.

If you could be any other profession what would it be?

An interior decorator.

And finally, customer service is?

Absolutely everything!
