Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We are a small, independent firm specializing in financial planning and managing client portfolios. This includes tax, estate, insurance, retirement and college planning. We pride ourselves on the fact that we always tailor all of our advisory services to the client’s individual needs and goals. I found the business. Following my retirement from the aerospace and defense business (after 30-plus years), I realized there was a great need for independent, objective financial planning and advice.

How are you involved with the community?

My wife, Ingrid, and I are relatively new to the community. Ingrid has immersed herself in the local art world and has had paintings selected for public television auctions.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We are dedicated to absolute client satisfaction; we bring our independence and 20 years of experience to provide an exceptional financial planning and investment experience.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Over 30 years of pioneering work in the aerospace and defense business, making significant personal contributions to national security; also, providing a unique experience for clients who need financial planning and asset management in my community.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Getting feedback from happy clients and recognizing how I’ve made a difference in their lives.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We are homebodies; we like hanging around the house with family.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Albert Einstein – he not only changed the world of physics, but was a great humanitarian and understood the human condition.

And finally, customer service is…?

The essential motivation for doing business; there is no other reason for providing services.
