Describe your business.

At The Painted Cork, our motto is “Art is Entertainment” and our initiative is to take the fear out of painting by creating a comfortable, fun, hip and exciting atmosphere where you and your friends come together and enjoy a unique experience. Guests can come and enjoy one of our two- or three-hour painting classes, bring in their favorite beverages (including wine) to sip on, and snacks to eat, while the instructor guides them through a relaxing session of creating a painting. There is no experience necessary, since the classes are taught in a step-by-step process where all art supplies (paint, easels, aprons, brushes, canvases, etc.) are included for a simple and affordable price. All cleanup and setup is taken care of! All you need to do is show up, enjoy some fantastic company and paint a masterpiece!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We are bringing something new and fresh to the list of activities within Folsom, and therefore promoting new clientele into the Historic District of Folsom. In addition, we are strengthening the appreciation of art by allowing our customers to become the artist – some who have never had the opportunity to try painting before. Lastly, The Painted Cork will soon be teaching specific classes where proceeds will go to selected charities. One such class will be the “Paint Your Own Dog” class where half of the proceeds will go to the ASPCA.

And finally, customer service is…?

Understanding that each customer is an individual and balancing their needs is both a challenge and an opportunity to provide a satisfying experience for each customer. As a business owner, it is imperative to ask yourself questions such as, “Where does my income come from?” and “What is my best form of advertisement?” or “How do I keep my business growing?” With my business, the answer to all three questions is: “The HAPPY Customer.”

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
