Congratulations to Windwalker Vineyards of El Dorado County for winning top honors at the 2011 California State Fair Wine Competition. Their 2008 Primitivo “Shady Lady” was named Best Red Wine in California; and they won third place overall, out of 2,800 other wineries in the state that competed! A special congratulations to Three Stages at Folsom Lake College for being honored by the Sacramento Business Journal with its “Community Impact Award.” Three Stages has also kicked off its 2011-2012 schedule. It’s the first full season and will feature a multitude of performances and artists, including Monty Python’s Spamalot and STOMP as well as legendary comedian Dana Carvey. Other highlights include the National Acrobats of The People’s Republic of China and Moscow Festival Ballet: Swan Lake.
