Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We are exposed every day to toxic chemicals in consumer-based products including makeup, skin care, hair care, and cleaning products to name a few. Ava Anderson non-toxic has no hidden ingredients or contaminants and offers a safe solution. Becoming a consultant fell into my lap. In 2008, I was hit by a drunk driver and for two years, I was in and out of doctor’s offices, being prescribed many different medications. I quickly felt “toxic” and just unhealthy. In 2011, I found a new doctor whose focus is holistic health. We discussed the importance of exercise and healthy eating to improve my chronic pain condition. We discussed the chemicals and toxins found in many products we use every day. The doctor introduced me to Ava Anderson Non-Toxic and once I used the products, I decided I wanted to share the message to friends and family.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I love a small retreat just outside of Nevada City - The Expanding Light. It is hidden in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I meditate, take walks in the mountains, and do yoga twice daily.

What’s your biggest job perk?

I love being out in the community, talking to others, and educating them on the importance of removing as many toxins from our lives as possible.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Mikuni in Roseville.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We love to go boating at Folsom Lake with the kids, friends, family and dog.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

My summer trips to England to visit family and friends!

Customer Service is..?

Extremely important, especially in these economic times. Making sure a customer gets the best value, best service, and quality product is important to ensure the customer will return.
