Describe your business.

At Get Fit With Monica, I offer personal training to my clients.  We can work out in their home, office, garage, the bike trail or a park. I try to instill a lifestyle change. Not just going to the gym and lifting weights or running on the treadmill, etc., rather, activities and lifestyles that enhance health and fitness. In addition to changing their workouts often, I also change the location. This keeps it interesting!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I do quite a bit of work outdoors with my clients. Particularly on the American River Bike Trail – what a great resource this is for the Sacramento/Folsom area! I always encourage my clients to buy the county/state park pass, encourage biking to work, and I love to try and get my clients to participate in Eppie’s Great Race to help support the trail. I already have three clients this year who are going to participate. Do I hear four? You know who you are!

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

I Like Samuel Horne’s Tavern in Folsom because they have great beer on tap (yes, I drink beer)…and some very tasty, healthy food choices for people like me!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Outdoor places mostly. I love the Aquatic Center/Lake Natoma!  You can rent a kayak for the day, take a picnic lunch out, park on a small island and swim for a lot less than what you would spend at Six Flags!

And finally, customer service is…?

For my business, it is really getting to know my client.  It is helping them to find their own strengths and weaknesses then encouraging them to build from there. So many people don’t know what they are capable of and need someone who can view them objectively. I honestly can’t think of a better job…helping people change their bodies, their mind set, and finding the strength to do it themselves!
