Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Welcome to FolsomFriends.com! We were looking for a way to bring our community together and support each other. Everyone has a cause they care about – whether it’s helping the homeless, supporting schools or another worthwhile endeavor. When we were growing up, we knew all of our neighbors and that is harder to do today. This Web site offers a way for you to help your neighbors as well as an easy way to raise money for charities and schools by doing something you do every day — online shopping.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Our Web site is promoting the community by raising funds for charity and also offering a free arena to post community announcements. We hope to bring that old feeling back of when neighbors were friends.

What’s your hidden talent?

We have an ability to draw the best out of the people who we are involved with; we are very positive and like to encourage others.

What’s your biggest job perk?

It is so exciting to be able to support our community by raising funds without asking for anything from our friends.  FolsomFriends.com donates revenue to the charities and schools that are important to us. We have donated to Twin Lakes Food Closet, soccer leagues, Folsom schools, March of Dimes and Power House Ministries. It’s a simple and compelling concept. The money FolsomFriends.com donates to change our community comes from its affiliations — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime! FolsomFriends.com is an online shopping mall of world-class merchants dedicated to help fund worthy causes in our city. FolsomFriends.com is dedicated to Christopher Gunnar Keith Thurber, who passed away at the young age of six months, six days. He taught us that love changes the world.

And finally, customer service is…?

It is the four “Fs:” Never forget a friendship or forsake a favor.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
