Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I found it. In high school and college, my dream was to become a preschool teacher. All of my life, I have loved working with children.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I have three children and am active with their school and outside activities. I also serve on the board of directors for a local football and cheer organization. We support many local school events and local children’s sports teams.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

All of our teachers are teacher qualified. We do not hire aides. We want the best-trained, quality teachers for our children. After hiring, the teachers spend several weeks doing hands-on training with a senior teacher. At all five of our locations, we take great pride in making sure everyone is well-trained to provide an excellent level of care, safety and fun.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I play. Coloring with a 3-year-old is the best way to make everything better.

What’s your hidden talent?

Not cooking...that’s for sure! It would be bringing out the best in people.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Nature walks – anywhere and everywhere.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Neil Diamond. I know that sounds crazy, but my husband and I were both raised listening to him. My kids can sing word-by-word many of his songs. Last year when he was at Arco Arena, my husband took my mom, our 9-year-old daughter and me to see him. We all stood up, danced and sang along. It was a great moment! I just want to tell him how much he has meant to my family’s history.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

Trader Joe’s and More Than a Mailbox.

And finally, customer service is…?

Care, quality and service.
