Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I own another alterations business and was looking to open an additional store, so when the space became available at Quarry Ponds – I leased it and here I am!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Over the years, my customers have become my friends. We have a trusting relationship, and they know I am someone they can depend on in their community.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff is the best because they pay attention to detail and truly care about our customer’s satisfaction. They take pride in what they do and have a passion for it.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being a mother and raising my two children in the face of adversity; also, moving from Iran to the U.S. with nothing. In the 21 years that my family and I have lived in the U.S., we’ve managed to learn the language, build a life for ourselves and have three successful businesses.

What’s your hidden talent?

I am able to craft and create original pieces of clothing and artwork. I can change the design of old-fashioned clothes to make them fit with the appropriate decade’s style.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Fat’s Asia Bistro – their Honey Walnut Prawns are delicious.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

A trip I took with my father when I was 10 years old to different cities in Iran.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

I like to go to Faith’s Crepes and Pullman Kitchen & Catering – two local restaurants with delicious, fresh food.
