Now you can mark this off the list of impossible. After my recent break-up with a LONG-time love, I thought the stereotypical – and predictable – time for a new “do” for a fresh start. After luckily meeting Cathy of In Bloom Hair & Make-up in Folsom via the fabulous (if I do say so myself) pages of Style Magazine, I quickly scheduled an appointment with her for some overdue highlights. After this magical evening of self-rejuvenation, I decided I needed to take my new hair up a notch…but not by chopping it off! Instead, I made an appointment for getting extensions put in! Cathy described this new kind of extensions as perfect for busy people who are not necessarily high maintenance gals. That’s me!

Called Hotheads hair extensions, these easy to apply/adhere hair extensions are made with all human hair. The application process is so simple and it is non-damaging to your natural hair! Even better, the extensions can last 8 weeks or better. Needless to say I was sold and on my next visit, the celebrity makeover took place while I sipped my chai latte (compliments of Cathy!) and no joke, within 45 minutes I was sporting luxurious locks. I was amazed when she finished, as it was painless and fast. Cathy said that I could wash, style and blow-dry as I normally do; she only advised me to avoid products with alcohol for their drying effects which can make the hair tangle more easily. Cathy even told me that she swam in a 104-degree, heated swimming pool and there was no damage to her own extensions! I am truly impressed with the results and after a few weeks now with my own fairytale hair, I would recommend these star-maker Hotheads to anyone looking to change up their current style or just add volume to their natural hair.
