Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We are a full-service landscaping company serving both residential and commercial properties. We specialize in reducing water and maintenance costs as well as designing and installing new landscapes.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We really try to be an integral part of the community because we believe it is our responsibility as a community member to help the overall quality of life for everyone. Recently, our staff designed and managed a memorial garden at a local school that had lost two teachers to sickness. We look for opportunities to help others, given the limitations of our capacity.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

One reason is that we sincerely care about our customer – whether it’s to increase the bottom line of a commercial property or the function and beauty of a residential property. We aren’t a typical landscaping company run by a large corporation based in Houston, Texas. We live and operate right here in the Folsom and surrounding areas. We provide a 100-percent satisfaction guarantee and will lose money in order to make it right with our customers. It’s our job not to mess up, but if we do, we take full responsibility.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Jesus Christ. He is my family’s mentor and role model. We use his operating philosophy when working with others in our business and our community.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

Pizzeria Classico. It’s where I worked as a struggling college student, and where I met my wife almost 22 years ago.

If you could be any other profession what would it have been?

Navy Pilot. I was lucky enough to serve as one during the Gulf War.

And finally, customer service is…?

Providing value to customers before, during, and after a sale. The value stems from our company’s capabilities and our employees’ sincere and genuine concern for other people.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements.
