First up this month is the introduction of the City of Roseville’s Placer Green Business Program, which promotes sustainability. By implementing “green” practices, such as recycling, qualifying businesses will receive certification and a window placard for display.

Get ready for cheap organic food because the Sunflower Farmers Market is setting up shop in Roseville on April 13th. The brand is a natural foods grocer that brings great food at even better prices. For more details, visit sfmarkets.com.

Sushi lovers will rejoice at the announcement that the award-winning Mikuni Restaurant Group, Inc. will be opening a new restaurant called Mikuni Kaizen. Located in The Fountains at Roseville, the newest location will feature sushi to go as well as a full bar. The eatery is scheduled to open in April.

Also new to The Fountains at Roseville is an Oakland-based pet store called Pet Food Express. The store sells all-natural products that contain no animal by-products and will feature self-service pet washing stations. Visit petfoodexpress.com for a sneak peak.

Starting March 15, the Blue Line Gallery of Roseville will introduce its new exhibit “The Next Generation: High School Student Show.” Check it out and support the artists of the future. For details, visit rosevillearts.org

Placer Nature Center and UCCE Placer County Master Gardeners team up to present “Gardening for Butterflies and Hummingbirds,” the second workshop in a four-part gardening series.
