New year, new beginnings. It’s that time when everyone tidies up after Christmas celebrations, packs away the decorations, and gets ready for a fresh start to a new year.

Popcorn? Check. New movie you have been dying to see? Check. New, state-of-the-art cinema? Check. That’s right, Rocklin has welcomed a new addition to the community: Blue Oaks Cinema 16. The new movie complex features “Ultimate Digital Cinema,” floor-to-ceiling screens, and rocking chair lounge seats. Revealed to the community in November, this movie theater is sure to bring smiles to all. For details and showtimes, visit srentertainmentgrp.com/blueoaks.asp.

Also unveiled in November was the Roseville Automaxx on Douglas Boulevard. At the former site of the Andrews Lincoln Mercury Dealership, the Roseville Automaxx offers more than 100 previously-owned vehicles and complete automotive repair services. For more details, call 916-772-7500 or visit rosevilleautomaxx.com.

The City of Roseville and surrounding communities faced a devastating incident back in October: the Westfield Galleria fire. KB Home, in coordination with Placer Food Bank, participated in a local canned food drive to benefit Westfield employees. For every canned-good collected, the home builder donated $5 to the Food Bank, kindly assisting the families affected by the fire.
