Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I grew up in the business. My father had a small animal practice, and I grew up seeing monkeys and lions at Marine World. So, I would have to say that it found me.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

My first job was working for my dad at his pet hospital. It was an invaluable lesson for me as I learned to care deeply for animals.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Everyone in my family is considered a “baseball junkie.” All three of our sons have grown up playing El Dorado Hills Little League, and my wife and I have both coached numerous teams. Both Pam and I continue to play competitive softball.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory has to be going to my dad’s pet hospital and watching him in action. His love of animals and his commitment to saving those he could, and the compassion he had when he couldn’t, gave me a good foundation for my own practice.

And finally, customer service is…?

Customer service is the most important part of what Pet Vets is! We love our “human customers” as much as we love our animal customers!

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Pet Vets has been in business for over 20 years, and a large part of that success and longevity has been due to the staff that we have the pleasure of working with every day.

What’s your biggest job perk?

The biggest perks are seeing every smile and tear my clients shed when their pet is ready to go home. Witnessing a child smile when her dog licks her face, or cat balls up in her arms, is such a wonderful feeling. I am so honored that I have the opportunity to do this on a daily basis.
