Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

My first job was in real estate when I was 16. After school, I walked across the street to the local real estate office and made cold calls for an agent. I learned that people don’t like to receive these, so I don’t use that approach today, but it did give me a strong start in this business from the ground up.

What’s your biggest job perk?

I have a passion for real estate, so the biggest perk is that I get to do what I love. While some days are harder than others, at the end of the day, I love this job, and I think that shows in the way I treat my clients and how I closely manage each transaction.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

It changes, but lately we’ve been eating on the patio at Taqueria Carnaval in Placerville and then walking across the parking lot to Sweet Score Frozen Yogurt. It’s a great combination!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Living in El Dorado County, we try to get outdoors as much as possible. It’s a great opportunity to teach our kids about nature and keep them active at the same time. We like Sly Park Recreation Area and Lake Tahoe, and take family camping trips throughout the summer.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

There are so many local businesses that go out of their way to help customers, so it’s hard for me to choose a favorite. Generally, I think it’s vitally important to support our local organizations. Part of what makes this community so unique is the prevalence of family-owned businesses, so I do my part to keep that foundation alive and well.

And finally, customer service is…?

Bottom line, it’s treating others as you’d want to be treated.
