Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

This career found me! I worked for 20 years in the horse industry (dressage) when my dream horse went lame. After 18 months of frustration with the veterinary world, I started looking into alternative therapies. This eventually led me to Phillips Massage School in Nevada City and a career change (from dressage to massage). I have never looked back, knowing that I have finally found what it is that I was put on this earth to do. As I have grown up in the business, my practice has changed and I have added treatments to specifically target the physical effects of aging (cellulite, unwanted weight gain, stubborn fat and toxin buildup). This is where the name “Your Personal Restoration Spa” comes from...restoring our bodies to their original healthy and vibrant state. I recently created the “Club SLIM” concept, offering affordable monthly plans for long-term clients who wish to combine the powerful ElectroBodySculpting treatments with the ThermoJet Infrared Body Wrap System. This offers the ability for us to work together over a long period of time (3-month minimum) to create a customized program for each body type.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

This may sound silly, but I am most proud of being happily married to a wonderful friend for over 36 years. We are still best friends and are enjoying all of the “chapters” of our life together.

What’s your biggest job perk?

People ask me if I do the treatments that I offer on myself. Absolutely, and this is my greatest perk!

And finally, customer service is…?

I have always felt that customer service is very simple: if you truly listen to people, they will tell you how they wish to be treated. The secret is really caring about the individuals who you are working with. Like the old saying goes: “Do what you love and the money will come.” This is my philosophy.
