Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

For more than 30 years, Steve Wallen Swim School, Inc. has been providing swim instruction to swimmers of all ages and abilities. The school started modestly in Steve Wallen’s backyard pool and has grown into one of the most respected and popular swim schools in our area. From infants through adults, our experience allows us to tailor a program to meet the specific needs of each individual.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

At SWSS we take great pride in building relationships with each and every customer. At every local function I attend, I see at least one student that has been through my program. It’s an amazing feeling when past or current customers express to me how I have played such an important role in the development of either their own or their children’s lives. Some students that went through my program as kids are now teaching for me; that’s a great feeling and definitely involves the community...I love that!

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I have raised four children who are all college graduates and have gone on to become successful, productive adults. I am also proud of my career choices to start my own pool maintenance and repair company, as well as being a swim instructor, allowing me to achieve my long-term goal of opening my own indoor swim school facility. I feel very lucky and blessed.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

Destiny Designs! They helped me design and paint my swim school, as well as my house. They are fantastic!

And finally, customer service is…?

Everything! At Steve Wallen Swim School, Inc., we are willing to do everything we can to provide all the skills and quality instruction to each and every one of our students. Whatever your swim instruction needs, Steve Wallen Swim School, Inc. is prepared to meet and exceed your expectations.
