Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We provide in-home care for all ages. Our employees are certified nurse assistants – we drug test and do background checks. Our experienced, compassionate caregivers provide care for the elderly and the young alike. We do back-up child and after-school care. If you or a loved one is recovering from a surgery, we can also help by doing personal care, including bathing, feeding, dressing and toileting. We also offer companion care, where we prepare meals, do light housework, run errands and give medication reminders; as well, we have emergency response systems that are mobile and provide transportation.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We are advocates for our clients. Whatever they need help with, we are there for them. We volunteer and support community functions and help raise awareness.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We care about our clients as though they are family. Our slogan is: “Let our family care for yours.”

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Completing several marathons, raising money and awareness for the American Diabetes Association, starting my own business and, of course, raising a family.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My blind mother, because she taught me so much about people and myself, including how to overcome disabilities, enjoy life and be open-minded.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

To the Lord...He’s the best listener.

What’s your biggest job perk?

I get to be a part of peoples’ lives and make them better.

And finally, customer service is…?

Being customer-centric; designing all your processes and procedures around pleasing the customer. Basically, I make my business work around my customers’ needs. I solve problems – fast – and don’t place blame.
