Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Bridgett had 20 years of experience in the furniture business. When they moved to Paul’s hometown (Placerville) she saw a need for a local, high-quality furniture store. And being the great salesperson she is, Bridgett convinced her husband to open their own store.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We are very involved in the community through supporting local charities, Wagon Train, and Placerville Drive business associations.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We hold our staff to a very high standard. We have nine employees currently, including two furniture designers and two window-covering experts. Paul, the owner, is a building contractor and installs the window coverings – so, no subcontractors here.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Our children! Our son is a former Marine and now an El Dorado sheriff’s deputy. Shout out to Officer Prencipe! Our daughter is 10 years old and adjusting well to spending lots of time at the store.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

The Bible. And, we have a close circle of friends we fellowship with weekly. They get us! It’s great!

What’s your hidden talent?

I love to roller skate; I spent my whole youth in a rink, including some competition. My goal is to get a roller rink in El Dorado County.

What’s your biggest job perk?

New furniture, of course! Also, I must try each kind of mattress in order to give my customers the best instruction on what’s best for them, right?

And finally, customer service is…?

The reason we are still here and other stores are not. We take care of our customers; we solve problems. We find pieces that have been discontinued, repairing other company’s items and our own. We do whatever we can to continue to do business in our county.
