Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

All three of us were involved with fabrics prior to Triad Plus. Our business ultimately found us. We started as a wholesale company, and retail customers sought us out. After moving to our current location, we opened our doors to the public. Through the last seven years, thanks to wonderful support, we have grown to be the largest retail store in our community. Our inventory is immense, a surprise to most customers on their first visit.

We are the headquarters for decorative fabrics, upholstery, drapery, outdoor sheers, prints, vinyl, trimming and much more. We carry all the necessities to finish a project such as foam, pillow inserts, upholstery, notions, linings and more. In addition, we fabricate draperies and upholster chairs. We offer in-home design services through our affiliates and we have classes and demos.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We have supported the American Stroke Association, and have organized two very successful fundraisers. We also initiated a fundraiser for breast cancer. We provide fabric and support to local middle schools, high schools and colleges. We welcome internships and are active in the local communities.

Our customers are very important to us. We encourage their feedback. We have built a large email club in order to maintain a continual dialogue with them. We offer free classes to help teach and inspire ideas that they may use to create decorative touches to their own homes.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

We always go back to the basics, starting with the customers’ expectations. Then, we challenge the efficiency of the business. Finally, we challenge the marketing of the business.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

We are prone to frequent other home-related businesses. It is fun to check out new trends and relate them to our own store. Pottery Barn, Z Gallerie, and Crate & Barrel are our favorites.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Our staff is unique in that they are very talented and inspired by the fabrics they work with every day. They “love” fabrics. They all are knowledgeable and committed to helping with customers’ projects by not only providing ideas or making suggestions but assisting in achieving the vision as well.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
