Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation, Executive Director

Golfing, traveling to Europe, training for and running marathons, cooking and entertaining friends are just some of the hobbies and pleasures enjoyed by Patricia Marquez; however, none of them rank as high as her true passion – serving the community’s health care needs. No, Marquez is not a doctor, nor a nurse, yet she plays equally as pivotal a role in ensuring the wellbeing of many residents throughout Placer County. As the executive director of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation, Marquez helps to promote and steer their mission, which is “to raise funds from the community to serve much-needed services at the medical center,” she says. “I work with a volunteer board of directors and they contribute their time, talent and treasures to help fulfill our mission.”

Her pride for the Foundation’s purpose and success is most evident when discussing Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s recent renovations, some of which help serve the more specialized health care needs of the community. “In the last year, the work that we’ve done toward improving cardiac services seems incredible,” says Marquez. “I have a special affinity for cardiac services since my father passed away from a heart attack. The work that the foundation does makes a definite impact on health care for residents in this community. I’m very proud to help support the depth and breadth of services that are offered to our local citizens.”
