Style congratulates Sierra College for their award of the Energy Saving Demonstration Center and Training Grant from The Center for Applied Competitive Technologies, which focuses on manufacturers’ energy reduction. Sierra College was selected through a competitive process to receive the $205,000 grant.

It’s time again for the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Campaign. Running through June, local Crown Council dentists, Mai-Ly Ramirez, D.D.S., and Dan Gustavson, D.D.S. of Fountains Dental Excellence at The Fountains at Roseville will offer teeth whitening services at a reduced price, while donating 100-percent of the proceeds to help children facing health and educational problems throughout North America.

You are invited to celebrate at Woodcreek High School, as their culinary art classes will attempt to break a Guinness World Record! Ravioli presentation will be May 14, at 8 p.m. at 2551 Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard in Roseville.

Congratulations to the City of Roseville and their Mahany Park! At the recent California Parks and Recreation Society’s annual conference, Project Play at Mahany Park was honored with the Award of Excellence in Facility Design – Specialty Park Design, for their Universally Accessible Playground system. Looking for that perfect plant? The Roseville Better Gardens Club will hold its annual plant sale on Tuesday, May 18, at Maidu Park on Rocky Ridge Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plants will be greatly reduced in price and are those acclimated to the area.

Style would like to thank MS&E on their Seventh Annual “Cesar Chavez Day of Volunteerism,” which included the refurbishment project at North Roseville Recreation, Education and Creativity Center. The Sacramento Kings, children from North Roseville REC Center, volunteers from Maloof Sports and Entertainment and Wells Fargo all took part in completing the refurbishment with extensive landscape beautification in a single day.
