Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We founded Rock Hill Lavender to promote beauty, health and well-being by creating the purest and most natural essentials for you and your home, using the finest and most versatile herb – lavender. We create all our products by hand and offer our products at our store at The Fountains in Roseville, on our Web site, and at various harvest festivals and other shows throughout the state.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We involve ourselves with the community by being active in local organizations and chambers. As far as involving ourselves with our customers, we educate them and the community on the benefits of lavender, and we enjoy hearing about their own experiences with lavender.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

All our staff members have a passion to teach and learn about many different things. Our staff members love lavender and all the benefits it has to offer. They all have positive and upbeat personalities and are willing to share their love and experience with lavender and Rock Hill Lavender’s other great products.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We like to explore everything that the Sacramento area has to offer. We are both avid downhill skiers and we also enjoy visiting the wine country.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Both of us have a memory of baking something for the holidays or for fun. Today Barbara still makes great desserts from recipes that were passed down to her, and sometimes she even makes lavender cookies for the store. Jonathan enjoys making homemade candy.
